This 90min practical workshop is aimed at improving you and your dogs lead walking skills. It is designed to equip you the handler, with a variety of exercises and training techniques to help tackle your lead walking problems.

Dogs pulling on the lead is one of the biggest struggles many dog owners face and is one of the most important areas of training to address. This fun and friendly workshop will be packed with information and practical skills you can take away and put into use in your everyday training.

Suitable for any breed or age of dog (or human!) Dogs should be friendly and socialable around other dogs and people. Please note this workshop is not suitable for severely reactive, fearful,or aggressive dogs – please ask for details on how we can help with these issues. Not all dogs are suited to group training i.e. constant barking which will affect the others – please call to discuss if you are unsure – we can offer one to one training if more appropriate. Training takes place in an enclosed field.

What you will learn:
  • Why dogs pull on the lead
  • Which equipment to use – pros and cons
  • Essential training exercises
  • How to make lead walking fun
  • You and your dog becoming a team, working together
  • Games and techniques to assist with loose lead walking
  • Focus and impulse control – how to achieve this
  • Finding solutions to common struggles
  • The difference between loose lead walking and heeling
  • Plus, much more!
